Yes you can get married. First you must earn a character's trust. This can mainly be accomplished by completing quests for them. Once you have their interest, you can ask if they're interested in you, etc. Then you can go to the Priest in Riften at the Temple of Mara. He will arrange your wedding. The wedding usually starts and ends around dusk to dawn the next day. I recommend just waiting 24 hours at the temple. If you accidentally miss your wedding, don't worry... you can ask your spouse for another chance. Then talk to the priest again. But don't miss the second wedding ceremony.

When you're married you get the benefits of:

  • cooked meals
  • money if they own or work at store
  • a follower/fighter

Yes and no. You can become officially partnered using the Second Life website to define who you want to be partnered to, to which the other person will have to accept. While this is not technically a "marriage," many residents will opt to arrange to have a wedding ceremony in conjunction with their partnership for roleplaying purposes.

Yes, it is possible to marry a non-playable character (NPC) in The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim. To do this, the player must acquire the Amulet of Mara, which is received for completing the quest 'The Book of Love' or can be purchased from Maramal in the city of Riften.

To marry an NPC, the player must usually first complete a quest for them, or in some cases, a series of quests.

Yes, you can get married in Skyrim.

First of all, you will have to gain the favour of the person you wish to marry by completing a quest for them. For example, Ysolda asks you to retrieve a mammoth tusk and sleeping tree sap. Muri asks you to assassinate someone, and so on.

Once you have gained their favour, you will need to travel to the Temple of Mara in Riften and speak to a priest called Maramal. You will be given an amulet of Mara and some miscellaneous quests. You will have to wear the amulet and speak to the person you are interested in marrying, where a dialogue option will appear asking if they are interested in you.
You can have same-sex marriages in Skyrim as well. With the official Hearthfire DLC, you can also adopt children.

Not all NPCs are marriageable.
However if you are playing the game on the PC, there may be console commands or mods you can download that alter the game, allowing you to marry an originally unmarriageable NPC (such as the vampire, Serana, a popular female character who is unmarriageable unless you use mods).

You can find more about marriage in the game, as well as a list of the NPCs you can marry, on the official Elder Scrolls Wiki.
