If you used BCP and took each one on time, using to the last active pill in the packet, no you will most likely not conceive the first day you stop taking it. The reason most doctors tell you to use an alternate form of BC until after your period is you won't have any idea when you ovulate, until after your first period post pills.

Can you know if your pregnant before your period I was taking antibiotics with my Birth Control and i threw up 3days in a row. I really need to know.?

Antibiotics can decrease the effectiveness of the pill. It is very possible to get pregnant while taking andtibiotics and birth control pills at the same time. See your doctor.

Can you be on birth control for a month and stop and get pregnant?

Assuming that you are having unprotected sex you are at a higher risk to get pregnant anytime that you are not taking birth control. Also birth control is only really effective when it has been taken consistently for 3 months every day at or close to the same time of day.

What is the likely hood of getting pregnant on birth control?

Birth control is 99% effective IF taken properly. This includes taking it the same time every night, not missing any PILLS, not taking anti-biotics etc. Each time you miss a pill or, are taking anti-biotics etc, your chances of becoming pregnant increases.

Do birth control pills work during the first trimester?

What do you mean by 'work'? When you are pregnant, you can't get pregnant again at the same time, therefore there is no need for birth control

If you take the birth control pill everyday at the same time can you still get pregnant?

You will become pregnant if you do not take your birth control pills regularly. Birth control will not work at all if you do not take it everyday at the same time.If you do not take your birth control regularly, you are not allowing the hormones to regulate and adapt in your system. By taking your birth control every day and at the same time as directed by all physicians, you will be 99.9%+ protected from pregnancy. Also if you just started taking birth control pills, you must wait 1 month before you have unprotected intercourse, because birth control does not regulate in your system anytime before that.

Can you become pregnant while taking birth control and still have a period?

If you are definitely taking your pills at the same time everyday and are still having a period you should be okay. No method is 100% so I would recommend if you are concerned to use 2 methods such as a condom and birth control pills. If you believe that you could be pregnant, take a home pregnancy test. There actually are pregnant women that do have a type of spotting which seems like a period but that is mostly if the person doesn't have a regular period from the start. Typically the only ways that that you can get pregnant if you are on birth control: -If you aren't taking the BC at the same time/regularly every day. -If you switch from different forms of birth control (ie: depo prevera(sp?) and birth control pills) -If you are on antibiotics and birth control. Some antibiotics/medications interfere with birth control pills so make sure that you talk to your doctor when going on new meds. On shows such as "I didn't know I was pregnant," it does show different circumstances that women have become pregnant and not even know it... (such as still having a period and no weight gain). This is REALLY RARE though.

Can you get pregnant if you have taken birth control for over two years?

Yes it can happen especial if you happen to be taking other drugs at the same time. Anti biotic for example.

Can you get 'pregnant' if your on birth control?

Yes. Birth control is 99% if effective IF taken properly. This would include not missing any pills, taking them at the same time, using back up form of contraception (ex: condoms) for 30 days after taking anti-biotics etc. Each time you miss a pill, your chances of becoming pregnant is raised dramatically.
