Yes you can but on some Guitars (Hollow-bodies, semi hollow bodies, and acoustics) it doesn't give you a desirable overdriven tone.
Any guitar, electric or not, can play any genre of music. You can hear some people play the accoustic guitar in a very heavy metal fashion and classical has been played extremely well with a distorted electric guitar by famous bands like Epica, Nightscape, Magic Kingdom and Skylark, to name a few. There is a band that plays a heavy metal style and all they play is cellos (Apocalyptica), so it doesn't matter the instrument, any style can be attempted and sometimes successfully translated and conveyed.
can be any shape or brand even the cheapest guitar with two humbuckers, heavy gauge strings and a low tuning through an amplifier with the right amount of distortion.
The Fender Telecaster is an excellent guitar on which to play heavy metal or other full-on hard rock compositions, but there are other good guitars for playing rock music as well. Go to a group for guitar players: there will be many opinions, but you may find one which satisfies your need. There is no one-best guitar for playing any kind of music: just play with what kind you have, you will find out how you like to play and that will help you to determine what kind of music you want to play.
none. no guitar made to play death metal will be any good. A bear growling should suit your needs.
Basically any genre of music can contain guitar. electric guitar is mainly used in rock or heavy metal acoustic is mainly used in indie or country bass is mainly used in jazz or classic
I am not sure if you mean how Metal differs from other genres like Techno or Pop.. or you mean how Heavy Metal differs from the other sub-genres of Metal like Melodic Death Metal or Nu Metal. However.. Heavy Metal differs from most other Genre because more than five people play instruments - Bass guitar, Lead Guitar, Drums, Singer, Keyboard, Second Guitar player ecetera. Other Genre like Techno, Pop, Rap or similiar does have commonly one singer or two, sometimes with background singers and commonly a program to change their voice or add synthetical music later to their songs.
Sunn o))) amps are popular, if you can get a hold of them. Other than that, most any reliable amp will suffice.
.10-.52's I believe. They're great strings, good for any kind of rock or metal. Heck, I use them for blues!
I have been playing guitar ever since kindergarten (12 years) and I think guitar is overrated. There are kids at school that play strictly chords, and you hear people say ,"oh you're the best guitar player EVER!" But that all they know, guitar is about being able to play any genre you can. My band, we have a metal core, death core, post core sound, but that's not all I know how to play, I can play jazz, blues, acoustic, any metal etc. But there is only opinions to this question there won't be an answer.
There are three types of bass: bass drums, electric base (a type of electric guitar), and the regular that looks like a cello. They can all be used in every type of music. Any instrument can be used in any type of music. On my guitar I play techno, hip hop, rock, heavy metal, Christmas, classical and any other type of music. there are heavy metal bands that use violas and violins. I have heard xylophones in the background of many old Eminem songs.
As much as you wnt them to be from 100 + because with the right distortion pedal you can create any sound you wish but if you want a guitar that looks "heavy metal" then i would suggest a B C Rich as they are very cool looking from around £200
No trichloroethylene is an organic molecule. It is not a heavy metal nor does it contain any.
