Yes, you can. But you have connect them in series not in parallel. It means that you connect first router directly to the modem, and the second connects to the first one.

How do you connect two wireless routers in separate parts of house with just Ethernet cable?

Wireless routers have spots on the back to plug in ethernet cables. Mine has one input and 4 outputs. It may work if you plug in one wireless router to your modem and then run the ethernet cable from the out of that wireless modem to the in on the other

Do wireless routers provide internet access or do you still subscribe to an internet provider?

Routers (wireless or with wires) do not provide internet access. Routers are for the purpose of connecting more than one computer to one internet modem. You need and internet provider

How wireless internet works through router and where the cables are attached?

The Wireless internet router is connected to your cable modem with an ethernet cable and most wireless routers also have the ability to also have wired connections along with the WiFi or wireless connections. The ethernet ports on the router are marked so you know which one to connect to the modem

Can you connect to routers to a cable modem?

Not directly. To create a local wireless ethernet network connected to a cable modem a Wireless Ethernet Router Box (WERB) would be required. It connects to the Cable Modem (CM) using an ethernet cable. If all you want is to have a local wireless ethernet network, the WERB would do that for you and you won't need to use the 2-Wire DSL wireless modem router. The 2-Wire DSL wireless modem router really does the same as CM + WERB but for connection of local computers and peripherals to a 2-Wire DSL ISP instead of to a cable ISP.Normally a cable modem connects to an ISP's cable network on one side and, on the other side, to either a single computer or to an ethernet router which could be either of the hard-wired "local cable" type or a "local wireless" type. The ethernet router then connects to several local computers or peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, etc.A DSL wireless modem router connects to an ISP's 2-wire copper telephone line on one side and, on the other side, via a local wireless ethernet to several local computers or other peripherals such as printers, scanners, etc., each of which must have a local wireless ethernet connectivity device. It is not clear from the question that you want to enable local computer users to connect reliably to either the ISP handled by the DSL wireless modem router or to the ISP handled by the cable modem. If that is what you want, then, if you are not already familiar with setting-up ethernet devices -- which may be the case as you asked this question here -- either get an ethernet router expert to help you or read the instructions that come with all modems and routers to find out what to do.

What are some reviews for the a DSL modem wireless router?

The ADSL modem wireless router works decent according to reviews. However, I would replace your router with one such as Netgear, or a well known brand name router. Often, these will offer warranties. Routers are not cheap, so the decision is important.

What is the difference between a modem and wireless router?

Modems are hardware devices that translate an analog signal into a language your computer (or other digital device) can understand. They are often used to create an Internet connection through telephone ("dial-up") or cable lines. Wireless modems are typically used in portable devices such as laptop computers, mobile phones, and PDAs. These modems receive a signal over the air, such as from a cellular network, and not from a physical ground line. Routers are used to share the Internet connection created by a modem with one or more other machines connected to it. To use a router for anything other than creating a local network, you would need to connect it to the Internet via a modem. Wireless routers can perform this function without the need for ethernet cables. In this case, each machine needs a compatible wireless network adapter that uses an antenna to receive the signal broadcasted from the router. Because household routers are almost always used with modems, some hardware manufacturers have begun combining the two in a single physical device: the modem router. A wireless modem router is typically a hybrid of a traditional modem (which receives data through a physical cable) and a wireless router (which broadcasts the connection over a wireless network).

Do I buy my own Wireless modem or does the Wireless provider supply it?

With most providers, you will have to purchase your own Wireless modem or purchase one from them.

Faster Wireless Computing?

Faster Wireless Computing is possible with the wireless n routers. Wireless routers can be very confusing to most consumers. Walk into any store and there are dozens of wireless routers stacked high for inspection. At one time the wireless g routers were the standard. Now more consumers are opting for the higher speed wireless n routers. Those who are ready to upgrade their wireless router should definitely purchase the wireless n routers that support the 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi.
