If you are interested in observing night flight, listen for a member of the flock to be honking as they pass by. Seems most of the geese I see at night have a member of their flock emitting a honking signal.

∙ 12y agolarge number of extremely fast moving lights in the starry sky (3-10-2012 ~10pm southern Minnesota). I would say too fast for a bird, however, I am coming to sense that they were indeed geese on a migratory trek and have a phosphorescent green glow to them attributed by the lights from street lamps. Never had I thought to have witnessed such a thing only to be second guessing this phenomena as radiant birds :( or were they....
