I think this is illegal and I think you arent allowed to sell to anyone not licences as checks need to be made
In the US, firearms weren't required to have serial numbers until 1968. A gun before then is grandfathered in. They may not, however, receive or sell a firearm with the serial number removed (whether it was made before or after 1968).
What does this gun sell for?
No. You won't be returned a firearm which has the serial number removed.
There are two different issues with lack of a serial number. First. some rifles and shotguns have never HAD a serial number. They were not required by US Federal law until 1968. Second- it is a Federal felony to remove a serial number, or possess a gun with a removed serial number. So if the gun never had a serial number- not a problem. If it has been removed- BIG problem.
Serial numbers were not required before 1968. Check with your local police.
all current hand guns have serial numbers, including police department handguns. if your handgun has no serial number then the serial # has been illegally removed and there is a possibility gun is stolen and thief removed the serial number........you have a parts gun if no serial number..................
If it was a firearm originally manufactured without a serial number (serial numbers weren't required on firearms in the US until the passage of the Gun Control Act of 1968), then no. However, a firearm which originally had a serial number and had it removed - very much illegal.
Depends upon the condition of the gun and the area of the country you are trying to sell it. FYI, it is a 2005 model.
No. While rifles and shotguns were not required to be serially numbered until the 1968 Gun Control Act, handguns have been required to have serial numbers since the 1930s. Please note that under US law, it is a serious crime to possess a firearm whose serial number has been removed or defaced.
First, I think you mean register. In MOST of the US, there is no requirement to register ordinary firearms. Now, about the serial number- it is unlawful to REMOVE a serial number, or to possess a gun that has had the SN removed. However, there are guns that do not HAVE a serial number, and they are legal. Rifles and shotguns made prior to 1968 were not required to have serial number. Those guns are listed as NSN- No Serial Number- on paperwork that asks for a serial number.
what model Without knowing the type of gun, the manufacturer or the model, it is impossible to say. Many handguns sell anywhere between $100-2,000.
Yes it is illegal to own a gun that does not have a serial number. It is also illegal to remove the serial number off a gun.
