yes. but you have to do it through the computer. you download the pictures from the Nikon to the computer and when you have finished doing that, you have to make a folder under my pictures of the pictures you want on your iPod and then plug your ipod in and click on your ipod then click on photos and select sync photos from and pick my pictures and then pick selected folders and then click on the folder you made.
If you are looking for a gadget for photography, go for Nikon D3100. Otherwise, if a laptop is what you need, go for a Macbook. Frankly speaking, these products are totally unrelated. You can take pictures in a Nikon D3100 and transfer them to your Macbook.
