You could use a chrome spray paint. Try looking for Rust-Oleum Spray Paint Chrome at your local hardware store.

Actually they meant that after a full charge, it can glow for 2 hours. The paint will actually absorb the light and that is how it glows. So, it is 'rechargeable'.

I would suggest that you scrub the furniture down with a wire brush to remove any rust and old paint first. Then make sure that your furniture is wiped clean so there are no dust particles left from the scraping.
