I guess atheist. at press conferences he would get asked if he believed in God, and it went something like this:

Person with question: "So, do you believe in God?"

Carl: What do you mean by that?"

Person w/ q: "You know, an all powerful force that fills the universe."

Carl: Oh, you mean like gravity."

so yeah i got that from a biography i read on him so its pretty accurate.

hope it helped

Is there going to be a Contact 2 movie?

Contact was a movie interpretation of Carl sagans ideas on what initial contacts between us and extra terrestrials would be like. Carl sagan never envisioned a continuing story to go with the idea so unless Hollywood someday invests a fake story behind it then there is no point in a sequal.

What was the central theme of this article and how was it supported in the title as well as in carl sagans quote?

The central theme of the article was the importance of scientific thinking and skepticism in combating misinformation and pseudoscience. This theme was supported in the title by emphasizing the need for critical analysis ("The Power of Doubt") and in Carl Sagan's quote, which highlighted the role of evidence and reason in forming beliefs and questioning authority.

What should an atheist godfather give?

The wikipedia says: Traditionally, the godparents were counted informally responsible for ensuring that the child's religious education was carried out and for caring for the child should he/she be orphaned. Today the word "godparent" may not have explicitly religious overtones. The modern view of a godparent tends to be an individual chosen by the parents to take an interest in the child's upbringing and personal development. So, with that in mind, as an atheist godparent, i would want to gift the child by starting a college fund for him/her. Failing that, maybe a boxed set of Carl Sagans "Cosmos"

Did Carl Sagan believe in aliens?

Carl Sagan, who was an atheist- so no religious bias colored his views, was quite open to the whole idea of UFos and aliens, past and present. He is a bit more hard-core science than Von Daniken, hence is not a popular, but did present some fascinating, and not pre-set or prefabricated ideas.
