As in many other places in the world such as Rio in Brazil, Carnival in Trinidad is held on the Monday and Tuesday just before Ash Wednesday. It is a day to celebrate before the more somber days of Lent.
Well, in Tobago, it is held in Scarborough, the capital of Tobago, but in Trinidad, it is held in Port-of Spain (the capital) and in San Fernando, a mjor city in South-West Trinidad.
