Okay... I have this problem with my HP 2000 computer. someone told me to take my computer apart. someone else told me to get a different brand.<recommended:)
But I heard that it was because something might be stuck in the display section of the computer..Like a piece of dust. Because HP built the computer funny even a tiny spec of dust can cause this problem...Upset as I was at the fact that HP could build something so temper mental I decided to do something silly....really silly...While the computer was on I opened the screen all the way and blew into the place where the fan lets the air out....really hard(no spittingXP) and it restarted the fan..I did it three times and it worked.(keep doing it till it works) It may be temporary but it's alot better then chucking the computer out or taking it apart.If it doesn't work for you then sorry. Just thought id share

∙ 13y agoIf your laptopscreen does not show anything - not even a manufacturers/microsoft logo during start-up, it is likely your screen is broken.
If your laptopscreen shows a very faint picture, it is likely the backlight of your laptop screen is broken / disconnected.
If however, everything is normal, up to when you would normally see your login screen, but then your screen goes black, it is likely to be a setting on your computer, which you yourself can fix.
