What are three ways to alter fingerprints?

1. dusting for prints using a fibre or squirrel hair brush with fingerprint powder for hard smooth shiny surfaces or magnetic brush and powder for hard rough or dull surfaces and lift with cellophane adhesive tape or rubber lifting tape

2. superglue fuming put the object in a fuming chamber with superglue on a tin foil dish and leave it overnight or heat up to develop the fingerprint once its developed dust the print and lift it with adhesive tape same as said in number 1 this is to be used on surfaces that cant be dusted like dull rough or certain shaped objects.

3.iodine fuming use iodine crystals in a fuming chamber to develop prints on paper or cardboard as in number 2 but do not heat the print will develop at body heat ninhydrin can also be used but i think iodine is cheaper.

4. another one is an i.s.r iodine spray reagent used to get prints off paper there are many ways this is made but ive heard u can make your own with lighter fluid iodine and ethanol don't know if its true because i havent yet tried it .

5. Sudan black for wet surfaces.

7. silver nitrate again i havent tried this 1 but i think you spray it on the surface to develop prints nd then you can either rinse it afterwards to get rid of excess silver nitrate or just leave it as it is either way you should be able to see the prints in sunlight or under a uv light source .

8. s.p.r small particle reagent for wet and non porous surfaces just dab it on or spray on the surface .
