No, it did not. It had a throttle body injected engine, 3 different engines available. The LT1 260 HP "Corvette" engine did not debut until '94, ran thru 'til '96. That was a Tuned Port Injected motor.
91c is the designation for the police spec caprice.it should in most cases already have an lt1,lt1 is the motor,91c is the car specs, but since its a 91 it may be too old for the lt1 option, so that part i dont know.i just know for sure 91c is not a motor.
I had a 95 Impala SS with the lt1 350 and a friend with a Camaro lt1 and as I understand it the main difference was the Caprice 9c1/ Impala SS LT1 had more torque than the Camaro and Corvette versions since it was a heavier car and thus had a slight less horse power. on a side note when I raced a corvette with a LT1 we were head to head, the corvette was stock and my only modification was a cold air intake. hope this helps you
5x127mm i have the same car and it is hard to find rims for it.
because its time for a new car
On my caprice I know because it was a police car it used R-12 and it can't be bought in stores. Only mechanics are authorized to carry it!
An LT1 will fit into any car that a Small Block Chevy fit's into.
The 1977 Chevy Caprice with a 350 had 170 h.p. and I think you will find that the police package car had the same h.p, but I am not 100% sure. The police package included handling and cooling upgrades but I think that it still only had 170 h.p.
It's depends on tire rating, H rated goes up to 130, and V rated is at about 140. But only if LT1, don't know about L99
with higher compression pistons
I could, so could a locksmith or any number of car thieves and quite a few police officers or mechanics. Security wasn't very good on a 66.
My understanding is that the 350 ci engine from 1990-1992 was only made for cop cars. For 90-92 the 350 was not an LT1. The 350 was rated at only 190 hp. From 93 on the LT1 was used with a rating of 260hp. My 1991 x dick car had a 350 with 190 hp. Bought it at auction in 1997 for 3500. It had 92k on the clock. On I95 from Tampa to DC I averaged 26 mpg at 75 - 80 mph. Initial acceleration was surprising, with a lag after second, but it never quit and top end was good. I had the digits spinning to 112 with the tach showing 4400rpm. It was far from topping out. With the Goodyear 2 plus 2 soft tires handling was great. It was the best car I ever owned.
1992 lt1 corvette runs good until it reaches 190 degrees the starts rough idel and backfires/ the car would kinda run rich in its past with black smoke at times
