He proposed the idea and all of Canada sent in 3000 designs to parliament to be voted on. Then parliament narrowed it down to 3 designs. Pearson wanted the 'Pearson Pennant Flag' which had blue and 3 maple leafs. Quebec wanted it with a Quebec symbol. But Parliament chose the flag we have today.

SO HE WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CREATION OF THE CANADIAN FLAG.
