No, Jehovah's Witnesses reject the trinity. They believe neither the word nor the idea is biblical.
No, Jehovah's Witnesses believe that this teaching is not found in The Bible.

  • The trinity teaches that Jesus and Jehovah God are one being. The Bible teaches that Jesus is the Son of Jehovah. (Luke 1:32; Psalm 83:18)
  • Jesus himself taught, while praying to God, that God was someone other than himself. Note this: "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, andJesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." (John 17:3, KJV)
  • The holy spirit is not a person, but it is the means God uses to accomplish his purpose. One example of this fact can be seen by comparing the wording of two different accounts of the same event.

Luke 11:20 says: "But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you." (KJV. Read verses 14-23 for context.) Now note Matthew 12:28 - "But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you." (KJV. Read verses 22-30for context.)The fact that "finger" and "spirit" are used interchangeably indicate that it is by this means Jehovah accomplishes his will.

Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe in anything that finds its origins from pagandom. We only believe what the Bible really teaches.

It is known by renowned scholars and theologians that the Israelites and the early Christians, (from whom we received 'the Bible'), they did NOT believe in a trinity. The Bible NEVER calls Jesus - 'God the Son'. It only calls him: 'the Son of God'. The trinity switched the words around.

The Trinity concept was actually developed over time, approx in the 3rd Century in order to appease the pagans so they would become Christians, so as to better control everyone. So they gathered some concepts from the pagans, and gave them a 'Bible phraseology' twist; and bingo, everyone thinks they have a Bible concept. Then they don't let people read the Bible, upon sentence of death; they read everything in Latin, so no one understands anything; and bingo, you have everyone in your control.

Next, when people finally do want to read the Bible, they produce corrupted 'translations' of the Bible. For example: The King James Version added a spurious expressing into 1 John 5:7,8 namely: "In heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth." But this text is not found in any of the early Greek manuscripts and has obviously been added to bolster the Trinity doctrine.

Fortunately, Jehovah's people are beyond such control. We not only 'rebel' against it; we actively preach and proclaim the 'paganism' in such a teaching.

Jehovah's people would NEVER in a million years WORSHIP such a god as the Trinity. We view it as a SLAM against the True God, Jehovah. Therefore we do not associate ourselves with others who call themselves 'Christian'. We view them as 'self-proclaimed'.

We are therefore very pleased that the rest of the world does in fact view us as authentic Jehovah's Witnesses; while they reject that name for themselves, and continue to subscribe to their god: 'The Trinity'.
