What does Jehovah's Witnesses teach?

The Bible is considered the only source of divinely inspired instruction on what to teach according to Jehovah's Witnesses. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION These are some of the teachings that come from the Bible, that Jehovah's Christian Witnesses teaches: 1: There is just one true God (not 3 in 1 God) God's name is Jehovah: Psalm 83:18 Also read Isaiah 45:18: "This is what Jehovah has said, the Creator of the heavens, He the true God, the Former of the earth and the Maker of it, He the One who firmly established it, who did not create it simply for noting, who formed it even to be inhabited: 'I am Jehovah, and there is no one else." 2. Why there is no Trinity teaching: Trinity Definition: The central doctrine of religions of Christendom. According to the Athanasian Creed, there are three divine Persons (the Father, the Son, the Holy Ghost), each said to be eternal, each said to be almighty, none greater or less than another, each said to be God, and yet together being but one God. Other statements of the dogma emphasize that these three "Persons" are not separate and distinct individuals but are three modes in which the divine essence exists. Thus some Trinitarians emphasize their belief that Jesus Christ is God, or that Jesus and the Holy Ghost are Jehovah. Not a Bible teaching. More proof is this: What is the origin of the Trinity doctrine? The New Encyclopædia Britannica says: "Neither the word Trinity, nor the explicit doctrine as such, appears in the New Testament, nor did Jesus and his followers intend to contradict the Shema in the Old Testament: 'Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord' (Deut. 6:4). . . . The doctrine developed gradually over several centuries and through many controversies. . . . By the end of the 4th century . . . the doctrine of the Trinity took substantially the form it has maintained ever since."-(1976), Micropædia, Vol. X, p. 126. The New Catholic Encyclopedia states: "The formulation 'one God in three Persons' was not solidly established, certainly not fully assimilated into Christian life and its profession of faith, prior to the end of the 4th century. But it is precisely this formulation that has first claim to the title the Trinitarian dogma. Among the Apostolic Fathers, there had been nothing even remotely approaching such a mentality or perspective."-(1967), Vol. XIV, p. 299. 3. The Holy Spirit is a force, not alive: So does the Bible teach that the "Holy Spirit" is a person? Some individual texts that refer to the holy spirit ("Holy Ghost,"Kj) might seem to indicate personality. For example, the holy spirit is referred to as a helpler (Greek, pa-ra'kle-tos; "Comforter," Kj; "Advocate,"JB,NE) that it 'teaches,'bears witness,' 'speaks' and 'hears.' (John 14:16,17,26; 15:26; But of course other texts say that people were "filled" with holy spirit, that some were 'baptized' with it or "anointed" with it. (Luke 1:41; Matthew 3:11; Acts 10:38) So these latter references to holy spirit definitely do not fit a person. To understand what the Bible as a whole teaches, all these texts must be considered. What is the reasonable conclusion? That the first text cited here employ a figure of speech personifying God's holy spirit, his active force as the Bible also personifies wisdom, sin, death, water, and blood. You see, the Holy Scriptures tell us the personal name of the Father, Jehovah. They inform us that the Son is Jesus Christ. But nowhere in the Scriptures is a personal name applied to the holy spirit. Acts 7:55, 56 reports that Stephen was given a vision of heaven in which he saw "Jesus standing as God's right hand." But he made no mention of seeing the holy spirit. (see also, Revelation 7:10;22:1,2) 4. Jesus was only a perfect man, not God in flesh and that is why that while on earth, Jesus was a human, although a perfect one because it was God who transferred the life-force of Jesus to the womb of Mary. (Matthew 1:18-25) But it is important to remember that Jesus had an existence in heaven before coming to the earth. You see, the Bible plainly states that in his prehuman existence, Jesus was a created spirit being, just as angels were spirit beings created by God. So neither the angels nor Jesus had existed before their creation. (Read Colossians 1:15; Revelation 3:14) So these are some of the teaching that are based on the Bible that Jehovah's Christian Witnesses believe. There are much more then this and by researching and reading many of the publications that we have which is based on the Bible, you can learn the truth such as: 5.Jehovah's first creation was his 'only-begotten Son'.... was used by Jehovah in crating all other things. 6. Jesus was Michael the archangel who became a man. 7. Jesus did not rise from the dead in his physical body. 8.Jesus was born again. 9.Jesus did not die on a cross but on a stake. 10.Jesus began his invisible rule over the earth in 1914. 11. Jesus' ransom sacrifice did not include Adam and Eve. 12. The soul ceases to exist after death. 13. There is no hell of fire where the wicked are punished. 14. Only 144,000 choosing ones are born again and go to heaven. 15. Blood transfusions are indeed a sin. 16. The cross is a pagan symbol and should not be used. 17. Salvation is by faith and what you do in life. 18. We refuse to vote, salute the flag, sing the "Star Spangled Banner," or celebrate Christmas or birthdays. Or join any kind of military organization. 19. Satan is the god of this system of things and the ruler of the world, not Jehovah God or Jesus Christ. 20. We believe, that the earth will not be destroyed, but will under God's Kingdom Government under Christ rule from heaven, the earth will be transformed into a paradise worldwide. 21. There will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous, back on this earth.

Danny Granger still active in Jehovah's Witnesses?

I have done some research and can find no indication that Danny himself was ever actually baptised as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. He was raised in a Witness household, but to be considered an active Witness by the congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, each person has to decide for himself that is what he wants to do, and take appropriate steps to identify himself as a Witness of Jehovah, includng being baptised, which confirms his place in the congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. I see no indication that he has done that, only that his parent(s) are (or were) Jehovah's Witnesses.

What is the philosophical basis of Jehovah's witnesses?

Very very simple:1) Jehovah God is the Creator of the Universe and mankind on earth. He is the 'Almighty'. Due to his Creatorship; all intelligent creation owes him something. At the least they owe him 'thanks'. But since our CONTINUED existence each day also is dependent upon Jehovah's making that possible; we owe him our praise; our honor; our obedience; our worship.2) Jehovah's Witnesses are exactly what their name says; they are Witnesses of Jehovah God.3) Therefore it would behoove anyone to LISTEN to Jehovah God; and obey his righteous requirements; -- and that they LISTEN to Jehovah's personal Witnesses.4) Jehovah God has endorsed them to carry his 'name'; and his 'message' to others who are not yet witnesses of Jehovah God.5) The fact that Jehovah God has endorsed them; -- sent them out to 'witness'; -- and blessed their door-step ministry; -- this is the philosophical basis of Jehovah's Witnesses.Among other things, mankind's eternal welfare depends on those things.

What makes Jehovah's Witnesses interpretation of the Bible truthful?

Each person must decide for themselves what is truthful. So, while it is truthful to one of Jehovah's Witnesses, it would not be truthful to a person practicing a different faith, because that person would think what he/she believes is truthful. To determine whether or not a person would find out if Jehovah's Witnesses are truthful, one would have to first decide if belief in God is truthful, then would have to be convinced the Bible is the word of God, and then would have to examine the Bible to see if what Jehovah's Witnesses teach is from the Bible. People who have taken those steps have either agreed or disagreed with the interpretation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
