People beat on other people because their repressed anger is released by the consumption of dis-inhibiting drugs. It's as much a case of people with anger issues preferring the release they get from alcohol and not caring for the laid-back feeling of cannabis as anything else.
This is a poor argument for cannabis, by the way. One drug releasing outbursts of anger says nothing at all about the desirability of using a different drug. The one has nothing to do with the other, and the logical argument is in favor of no drugs at all, not changing to grass.
