From what I have read and heard you have to use equal parts of baking soda, and iodized salt. This combination is supposed to dehydrate and kill fleas and eggs hatchlings. Hey the way I see it baking soda is cheap, and so is salt compared to most flea products, so why not try it? You also must treat your pets, and again from what I have read and heard Dawn dish liquid is a great cleanser to use to bath pets and kill fleas. Also, I read something about liquid garlic, feeding it to the pets in their daily meals. Fleas appearently don't like the smell and won't get on the pets. Hope this helps!!! Good luck!!!
I know it kills bacteria but not a much as mouthwash. Baking soda is NaHCO3 (also know as baking soda) which releases CO2 .So, CO2 inhibits growth of bacteria which requires oxygen to survive.
It doesn't kill the fleas but it irritates them and makes them want to move away from the soda and salt. If you have a flea problem it won't clear it since it does nothing to kill the eggs left by fleas. It's more of a repellent but not a way to kill them.
No, baking soda would not be effective at killing fleas on pets.

You need to use Advantics.
Chocolate has an ingredient in it that is toxic to dogs and puppies. Please DO NOT feed chocolate to them. It does not instantly kill them, but hurts the liver and kidneys and eventually this will kill them.

Not okay. Unrelated dogs often will kill puppies.
yes baking soda is safe, as is talcum powder or baby powder. Both substances are good home remedies for killing fleas on your pet ... the powders will smother the fleas. When applying either powder, apply to the animals head first, which will prevent fleas from running towards the head as the powder is applied elsewhere.
Sometimes they lie on top of the puppies and suffocate them.
Use baking soda to kill fleas on furnishings. One of the pros of baking soda is that it rids flea eggs and larvae from your furniture gaps and crevices as it is a powder. This method of killing fleas functions by dehydrating their larvae, a key to their development. Apply baking soda by sprinkling on soft furnishings such as your mattresses, carpets, or rugs, vacuum 4-6 hours later to find the fleas and their larvae absent from your furniture!
