Taking Screenshots/Screengrabs/Snapshots
In most cases, pause the video you are playing on the screen and hit Alt-Print Screen. You can then open an image editor, such as Microsoft Paint. Copy and paste this screen capture into Paint, and edit out anything you do not want to show.
If you are using Windows Media Player, make sure you disable overlays (Tools -> Options -> Performance -> Advanced -> uncheck "Use Overlays"). If you do not do this, the Print Screen method will not work.
If you have VLC, you can just use (Right click) Video - Snapshots

No. Firmware is a special piece of software on a device that controls it. The modem is considered only a hardware device.
Nope - it's hardware. The screen incorporates a special layer that detects whens someone touches it.
There are no special requirements to display animation movies. You may need additional computational power to create animations but it however depends on the software you use.
False, the OS is software, it is not a physical part of the computer
Yes. Have two people sing at once. This depends on how 'special' the software spoken of is. If speaking of a file on a computer, most video capture programs can capture all sounds on a computer. It would require having multiple devices to route sounds, or a device which can handle multiple sources of sound.
A Floppy disk is hardware. As a quick rule of thumb, any component, not only computing, that can physically exist without the need to take any special course of action for its generation, is Hardware. for instance, your computer and the floppy are hardware, but the data that resides inside your computer, or floppy, is software, since it has no physical existence of its own and can only be interacted with by accessing it through a suitable device like your computer.
No - All you need is a Disc Drive that can record onto DVDs [A.K.A., special hardware]. If you mean DVD movie playable on a DVD player, you will need software to be able to do that which there is a lot around of. Windows 7 has a built in DVD Maker
No, it is a function of a special piece of software such as Microsoft Word or OpenOffice.org. Operating system is just a middle layer between the hardware and other software to put it simply.
Name says major difference between both. by the way Software RAID is created using feature provided by Operating System or any special software, but Hardware RAID is created using Hardware RAID controller Card. When you create RAID you are adding overheads to read and write operations. If you create software RAID and your server is too busy or you have many read and write operations you will see there is impact on performance. When you create HARDWARE RAID you will use dedicated controller with processor and some cache. This will not create overhead for your OS and you will find better performance. Software RAID will save some money for you but Hardware RAID will provide you value addition.
The main benefit of video card capture is to modify streaming video. Free software programs are available online. The free version lets you add special effects and distribute the file to others for viewing. People who are in the movie industry use expensive video card capture services that cost up to $10,000. Learning the software's tutorial is the best way to learn how to use the program. The free versions are for casual users. They are a good starting point for someone who has an interest in movie-making, special effects and modifying streaming video. Once you learn the free version, you can purchase more complicated software. The software cost between $50 and $2000 for a more challenging version.
