u do not by any means need waterfall u dont even need surf really u need rock smash strength and rock climb bring lots of escape ropes and if u find urself near snow point go back into the cave i spent 1 hr looking in the snow storm nothing will help u but if ur on a snowy ledge keep going and u might be able to find an abamasnow up there its really rare try to catch it but if ur dieing kill it its not worth it but u dont need waterfall hope i help if i didnt help im sorry
