All anti-depressants have the potential to cause anhedonia (an inability to experience pleasure from normally pleasurable life events such as eating, exercise, and social/sexual interactions), and it may mean that your medication needs to be changed if you had been feeling better and then began having these types of symptoms. Anhedonia is also a symptom of depression itself. It may take as long as 4 to 6 weeks to see any difference in your depression after starting your medication, and if you have not been on it for long, you may need to give it a chance to work. If these feelings are new and are troubling you - particularly if you are having suicidal thoughts - I would recommend talking to your doctor. Together you can decide if you should give Lexapro a while longer or if it needs to be changed. Good luck!

Yes, Zoloft can have a side-effect of feeling emotionally numb, but it really depends on the person. It doesn't happen to everybody, but if you think it may apply to you, then tell your doctor. Don't go off the medication by yourself. Be sure to stress your concern to your doctor, get a second opinion if neccessary.

whoever wrote this thank you so much i had no idea ive been feeling depressed and i didnt know why i was on zoloft but it wasnt working so im trying something else everyones different

Is it wrong if you dated somebody and then dated their brother?

In dating relationships, it is certainly much less complicated emotionally to avoid dating someone in the same family as someone you dated before. Dating one person, then dating a brother (or sister) can make you appear desperate to just have a boyfriend or be attached to someone. But, no, it is not wrong if you sincerely like the other person. Many people married after dating a brother or sister to someone the person previously dated. However, like I said, it can be emotionally confusing, awkward, and make you feel uncomfortable.
