Sarabi is the mother of Simba. The Lion King 2 is story is about Simba and his daughter and is titled "Simba's Pride" and hence maybe that's why they ignored Sarabi.
Ideally speaking since simba has got old, Sarabi his mom should have died :)

∙ 12y agoIf you mean where is she in the story of the sequel film The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride, there is no official information. Disney's official web site claims that she is in the film but it's not a reliable source as it's not hosted by the film makers and have tons of mistakes in information related to the movies.

∙ 13y agoSarabi, Simba's mother and Mufasa's widow, is never seen dieing in any sequels to The Lion King. We can only speculate that her character died before the events of The Lion King II as the filmmakers decided not to recast her in respect of Madge Sinclair, her voice actress, who passed away before production of The Lion King II began.

∙ 12y agoNo, she does not. The movie starts the morning of baby Simba's presentation and baby Simba is already too big and his eyes are open; as in he's not that newly born. He was born in the least couple of days, likely more like couple of weeks, before the movie's timeline.
