captivity does not worsen an animals health at all. but if you are not careful ( with a wild animal) when you release it it will expect people to feed it. so you might have to teach it to hunt. if it is a bab animal you will need to teach it everything it needs to know when releaseing it because if you dont the animal may end up dying.
