yes, fine hair does cause hair loss, try keeping it short to help a bit. No, Completely not. I've had fine hair my whole life and did not have any problem until I was put on Lithium (Depakote is also known to cause hair loss). Check with ur Doctor about any side effects of Meds u r on. To contradict this hair loss I did major research and Biotin kept on coming up as an ingredient in hair loss (it's like a vitamin and actually says on the Target brand Good for Hair n Skin. I talked to my doctor about it and he also suggested Centrum SILVER, and I'm only in my early 30's!! I've been on them for a few months now and my hair seems to be growing just like it used to! Pretty cool. You should also talk to ur Doc about Female Alopecia, but unlike the Male version, women with the disease seem to have patches of hair come out. Good Luck!! Peace.....

sometimes it may be alepshia ariata ( i think that's how u spell it) because i had that hair condition and now my hair is really fine.
