Human interaction strongly effects bamboo. For example when people harvest bamboo out of the ground the soil become washed out and the nutrients are slowly washed away due to turrential rain fall. Plus to much deforestation and clear-cutting can stunt total bamboo populations, which in turn will lead to less oxygen generation and less carbon consumption. Humans do hurt the survival of bamboo which in the log run hurts humans themselves.
