Frozen Yogurt and Ice Cream are 2 totally different things. What it basically comes down to is that ice cream is way more fattening and has no yogurt at all in it. Frozen Yogurt is literally just yogurt that's frozen.

∙ 13y agoIn general, yes. Of course, it isn't gonna be healthy if you scarf down a whole frozen yogurt carton or pile on a bunch of candy as toppings. But it's definitely a better choice than ice cream! (:

∙ 13y agoNo, I dont think so. Frozen Yogurt isn't completely frozen hard, it's made colder and thicker. When you freeze it i guess you could time it so it's not too frozen, then it might be similar.

Frozen yogurt is simply its name, yogurt that is frozen.
It isn't like ice cream, it is more tart. And it is lower in fat due to using pure milk instead of cream.

∙ 12y agoThey are the same because they both make great sweet cold desserts, and they can taste pretty similar. They are different because ice cream base is cream, and frozen yogurt base is yogurt.

There are a few benefits of choosing frozen yogurt over ice cream. It's lower in fat content because of the use of milk rather than heavy cream which is used in ice cream. Ice cream contains a lot more sugar and frozen yogurt offers more minerals and nutrients for being healthy.
