If the dentist doesn't make it numb, it hurts like hell >.<
If they numb it, it will probably only be a pinch. also, something else that helps the pain is this kind of gas that knocks you out a bit so you won't remember the seizure. But i'm serious, permanent have roots which is WHY it hurts like hell when you pull it out without any help from drugs. Of course, I don't have any experience with adult teeth getting pulled out, so don't count on my answer too much.

∙ 11y agoNo. I had my teeth pulled for my braces. I was all nervous for it. I wouldn't even sit in the dental chair.
First, they put a laughing gas on you (which i love) and then after a few minutes you get all goofy. After that they spray water all throughout your mouth. While they spray it they give you a little shot. I didn't even know my dentist gave me a shot.
Soon it is all over, trust me. i had to have 2 permanent teeth pulled and 2 baby teeth pulled. After that I hopped into the VOLT and we were driving home. I had cotton balls stuck in my mouth so i couldn't talk. but you get to go to the grocery store you get ice cream. I didn't get ice cream though. Instead i got a Coke icee.

∙ 16y agoYes it does. They are pulling out a bone that is stucked in your mouth. If you let it fall when you its suposed, it will not hurt at all. JUST DON'T PULL IT!!!

However, If it's a deciduous tooth (baby tooth) and your other canine is coming in, it would be smarter to have it pulled as to allow the permanent tooth room to come in. Otherwise your tooth could come in crooked.
