Yes. They don't know that they're eating their own young.
No they will not. If the goldfish are too large the Koi will leave them alone. If however they are small then if the Koi can fit them into their mouths they will indeed eat go…ldfish and any other fish small enough to fit. Koi were developed by the Japanese to live in ponds and be viewed from above. That is why they have very broad backs and grow to over 2 feet long. Please don't condem them to a life in a tank. Retailers who sell Koi to folks who don't have ponds are condemming the fish to a slow and nasty death.
Yes koi fish can eat bannannas but only in very little pieces. koi fish can actually eat any type of good comon fruit. the only fruit that i know that they can not eat is grap…e fruit.
koi fish would normally eat goldfish food try tetra fin goldfish flakes they are made for goldfish and koi
Yes. I have lost two this year to a snake.
Koi are carp. They are very boney but can be eaten.
fish food You can choose to not feed them at all because Koi are bottom feeders, and the more you feed them the less algae they will eat. Feeding koi is done only for enter…tainment reasons. Though if you do feed them, we recommend not feeding fish more than once a day. The fish have plenty of things to nibble on in the pond, and the more you feed the fish, the more waste they will produce. The only time you have to feed your koi is when a new pond is installed, because there is no algae for the fish to eat. Also you must feed your koi fish less in the wintertime (depending on your area). Don't feed the fish when the water is under 55 degrees because the fish metabolism is slowed down and won't be able to process the food. To put things shortly, they eat fish food if they are kept in an aquarium or pond.
Koi are omnivorous and will eat just about any fish that is small enough to fit in their mouths. Koi are essentially pond fish and were bred with broad colourfull backs and gr…ow to over 2 feet long to be viewed from above.
Geese do not normally eat fish. Koi grow to over 24 inches long and weigh several Kilos/pounds. I would imagine that no goose would be able to catch and eat one.
Yes but they often taste like mud and have lots of small v-shaped bones.
good question they eat Algae, Aquatic vegetation, and small aquatic life good luck
Turtles are in fact herbivores and carnivores so they can possibly feed on koi fish
Yeah I had two Guppies and a Tetra and the next morning they were gone, probably eaten by my Koi. Koi are bottom feeders and will probably eat anything that they suck in their… mouths.
All fish will eat the eggs of other fish. Why should Koi Carp be any different? Of course they will.
They will eat anything but do not give them cookies give them dry dog food or pond food
