No, penicillin will not cure chlamydia. To treat chlamydia the first line drugs are azithromycin, doxycycline, and erythromycin. Amoxicillin is used only in pregnant women who are allergic to or have some other reason why they can't take azithromycin.

Linezolid (brand name Zyvox) is not used for chlamydia. It is a high-risk medication that costs $100 per pill. There are safe, effective, and reasonably-priced alternatives that treat chlamydia.

Chlamydia requires azithromycin (brand name Zithomax) 1000mg in one dose; Or doxycycline, erthyromycin, or ofloxacin. If pregnant: azithromycin or amoxicillin.
