A charge card you have to pay the full balance at the end of the month. You can buy as much as you want, but you must pay at the end of the month. A credit card will give you a limit of $xxxx and you can pay that off over years and build the interest until you can never pay it off. So essentially you can buy a yaht with a charge card but not a credit card. The downside to the charge card is the fact that if you cant pay up in full every month, they will gut you worse than a credit card would. Also, charge cards carry an annual fee for their generous rewards points and the risk they incur by backing you.

Not usually, but if you have really bad credit, there are a few institutions that will give you a credit card if you have an account with them. The kicker is that you must maintain a balance in the account that is equal to the credit limit on the card.

Yes it can. A secured credit card is for people who is trying to rebuild their credit or has been denied credit in the past. Most of the time a secure credit card is money that you set aside to give to the creditor as collateral which is $300. Then once approve which is most of the time, the creditor will give you a secured credit card in which you try to use it and pay either the minimum due or the entire balance. If you do not pay any balance, the company that has your collateral will keep the $300.
Before you transfer your balance, read the fine print on your credit card agreement. Some agreements charge fees for balance transfers. After you have read the agreement and understand the possible charges you may face, gather all the necessary information about the card you want to transfer the balance from, call (or perhaps go online) the credit card company you wish to transfer your balance to, give them all the necessary information, and transfer your balance.

No. Using debit cards is like writing a check electronically. If you have overdrawn your account, however, it will count against you if you don't pay it back immediately. If you are having a hard time getting a credit card to build up your credit score, you can get a secured card from your bank. Very good question. Simply call the phone number one of your credit cards and give them the credit card number of the other card you want to pay. For example, say you want to pay your SEARS card balance with your VISA credit card. Call VISA and tell them you want to make a transfer to your SEARS account. Provide VISA with the SEARS account numbers-They will do it for you. It doesn't take long. It can be done over the phone. Good luck!~
