YES,
This is not a problem with the hp software or driver. The XP software and driver do work in Vista32. The problem is in the vista security settings for the scanner.
I would recommend that you install the HP Precision scan software. Then click the start button, scroll up to the HP Precision scan folder. Right mouse click on the folder icon and select properties. Select the security tab. Use this tab to edit the "everyone" security properties to allow "FULL CONTROL".

If this does not work initially, you may need to uninstall the software, unplug the scanner and walk through this from the beginning. I personally have been successful with both the 5200 and 5300 scanners.
Share this trick, I expect that this is the same issue with a number of XP issues when run under vista.
HP LaserJet 1300 Laser Printer is being certified to work with Vista
You can install the printer onto your system with the help of drivers which can be found online in any downlads website. I hope these links help you get started: http://drivers.softpedia.com/progDownload/Hp-scanjet-5200c-scanner-202-Download-1716.html http://driverscollection.com/?H=ScanJet%205200c&By=HP http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=228&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=61254&lang=en
Theoretically, yes. You can download a Vista driver from HP. However, some of the functions will not work with Vista; specifically the SCAN button does not work. We have three of these printers at work and our computer people have done everything they can think of to enable the SCAN button, but with no success. See related links for information from HP about the HP 5610 printer.
Yes, it will work perfectly.

Windows Vista does not support the HP Laser Jet 1500 printer. Regardless, Vista users can sometimes connect their printer to their vista computer, and even though software is not installed, the printer will appear to be ready to print. It is a glitch, and this glitch can sometimes let vista users print with a printer that is not compatible with Vista. If your printer does not work well with Vista, it's time for a new printer, or for a search of HP Laser Jet 1500 software that works with vista.
Yes. Vocaloid is compatible with Windows HP. It can run on both Windows Vista and Windows 7 as well.

Windows Vista is an operating system, but HP is a computer company, so there is no real comparison between the two.

Yes.
Most HP scanners will be automatically recognised by Mac OS X. Connect the scanner to a USB socket, turn on the scanner and launch the Image Capture application in the Applications folder which should find the scanner. If it is not recognised HP supply a range of drivers and software (See links below).
