Yes and no. I think Meryl was great but there's only so much you can fit into a feature length film. I don't think Margaret has ever been portrayed better by an actor. As for the writting, well, they weren't going to make her this one dimensional witch character so many people see her as. That had to portray the fully developed personality that Margaret thatcher had. I would say it did to the degree it could, but a better 'portrait' would be the books Margaret thatcher wrote herself.
It's a good film.
