If you have equipment sensitive enough to make the observations and measurements,
you discover that regardless of what direction you look, all of the distant galaxies
outside of our "local group" are moving away from us, and the farther away from us
a galaxy already is, the faster it's moving away from us.
When the local TV station sends a reporter who doesn't understand these things,
to talk to you and get a story that runs 30 seconds and tells it to a lot of other
people who also don't understanbd it, a simple way to describe these observations
is to say that it looks as if the entire universe is expanding and we're at the center
of it. The truth is a lot more incredible and beautiful than that, but in order to have
any hope of understanding or appreciating it, you need more Math and Physics than
the typical TV viewer has, and it helps a lot if you live in a society where staying in
school, studying Math and Science, doing your homework, and graduating, are cool.
a closed universe.
a closed universe.
no
it is the oscillating model
The universe expands 45 miles every second.
expands
That means that the Universe expands faster and faster. It causes the Universe to grow, and the general density of matter in the Universe to decrease over time.
Yes universe is endless and it is expanding but every thing that expands has its end once it reaches that end it explodes this might be the cause of the end of universe so there might be a end of universe
the two particles move further apart as the universe expands because I am a beaver
Space contains multiple Universe which shrinks and expands. Means that Space has multiple BigBang and Universes. (This point of view is based on Scientist's theory on Universe). (Subramanian, J.R.)
The distance is getting larger as the universe expands.
The density of what? Any metal, liquid, etc. will have the same density since density depends on mass and volume of the sample (not volume of the universe).
