Can you use regular headphones for a Nintendo DSi?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Any pair of headphones with the basic 3.5mm jack will work on the Nintendo DS.

Headphones with microphones (except the ones made for the DS) will be longer and won't fit well. You will still get audio, but it will probably be distorted. The microphone on the headphones won't work.

However, there are special headsets for the DS, which fit into the oddly-shaped rectangle on the headphone jack, for an external microphone to be supported.

How do you fix a headphones is only one is working?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The cable from the working speaker to the unworking one is cut, or the speaker is broken, how to fix it? Open the unworking one, check if there are two cables connect to two points on the speaker, if so then it should be a cut somewhere else between this speaker and the other side, find the cut and remove it, then reconnect the wires , make sure no wires can possibly touch other wires except there own colored wire, otherwise it will create a short circuit, try using tape for that.

Another option is to see whether it is a software error. To check this, right click the Sound icon on the lower left-hand side of the screen, or the taskbar (this only works in Windows 7). Select the option "Sound", and change to the "Playback" tab. Select your headphones from the list displayed, and click the "Properties" button that comes to life. Switch to the "Levels" tab and click the "Balance" button. If the balances are unequal, equalize them. If they are already equal, then, bad luck, you have a hardware problem and should try the fix above.

Why would you be able to hear through headphones but not the speakers?

A speaker is an output device, a microphone is an input device. The two are completely separate devices that do no depend on each other.

If the microphone is disabled and the speakers are enabled, you will be able to hear only.

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

On average they are unhealthy because a person's ears are sensitve to loud sounds. The more you use these things the more damage you cause - it is slow, but it does add up. The problem with kids using them is that they are kids and won't be responsible.

What are the best headphones for a DJ?

User Avatar

Asked by MortifiedPuppy

Headphones where the earpiece can swivel.

DJ Headphones are designed to block out lots of external noise to help you hear the next track in the headphones without it being drowned out by the noise in the club / bar / bedroom.

They will be closed backed and generally quite comfortable for long periods of playing. Most have swivle hinges to enable you to listen with one ear and uncover the other one to hear the mix.

Arguably the most popular DJ Headphones are the SONY MDR-V700DJ and the Sennheiser HD25-1. The sonys because they have good spring return hinges that help them stay on your head however you wear them and loads of accurate deep bass and the sennheisers because they are very light, durable and have a more accurate sound across the range.

although Im not really to sure, althout its your amp, ears, and headphones your playing with here, not mine...

Does blue tooth headphone have harmful radiation?

User Avatar

Asked by Ottammoon

As you may know, cell phones emit significant radiation (source: http://reviews.cnet.com/4520-6602_7-5020355-1.html). Fortunately for us consumers and the general public, the government has regulations of somewhere around 1.6 SAR, which is a measure of radiation. I was watching a news article from CNN, which you should be able to find on their website. Wearing a bluetooth headset emits significantly less radiation, about 100x less. However, there is still radiation, and it's still bad because you have it right next to your head, perhaps for long periods of time. If you still plan to use your bluetooth, which I don't suggest, you should switch it from your left ear and your right ear so that the radiation is evenly distributed. I personally have an iPhone 3G, which has smart headphones. Headphones emit no radiation, though some people think that radiation runs from your phone to up the cord. You can buy special cords for that though, which contain an element that eats up the radiation. Hope this answers your question! -cptcharcoal

Can you use normal headphones with an electric drum kit?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Yes, you can use normal headphones with an electronic drum kit. All you have to do is locate the headphone output on the electronic drum module, also known as the brain and plug in the headphones. Typically, the headphone out is on the front of the drum module. I had a Yamaha DTX set and it did require a 1/4 inch headphone adapter. It's great listening to yourself play while not disturbing others around you with loud kick drums and snare beats.

They are all compatible on most newer Blackberries, as long as the plug which plugs into the device is not too large. However they are not compatible on some models such as the Blackberry Bold.

You'd be safer to ask your phone retailer, they would know more.
