User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Lambda audio/midi interface was made for Cubase LE and is not compatible with Pro Tools. Now with Pro Tools 9 saying it supports any previous interface, I'm not sure. I have not updated from 8 to 9 yet. So if you plan on using pro tools 8 or earlier than no it is not.

How do you get songs from pro tools to a CD?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

for Any version of pro tools before 8.0 (and probably after):

If what you're saying is, the song is recorded in pro tools. You must do a bounce to disk first.

in Pro Tools:

goto File>>Bounce to Disk... or press Command-option-B on a Mac, or CTRL-ALT-B on a PC.

**remember, if you have audio or regions selected, Pro Tools will only bounce THAT part of your session.

A dialog box will appear. Be sure to select "stereo interleaved" for this.

**remember, audio CDs are ALWAYS at 44.1 KHz and with 16 bits of "bit depth" or dynamic range.

If you have recorded at 24 bits, you must dither down to 16 bits of depth. To dither, open a stereo MASTER FADER, if you haven't already.

Mac: Cmd-Shft-N

PC : Ctrl-Shft-N

and select "master fader" from the drop menu.

Then, open a dithering plugin on the master fader (found in "Dither")

Now do your bounce as described, with bit depth set to 16.

"Bouncing" sums all of the audio in your session (everything you hear on playback) into one stereo file.

Choose where to save your bounce, and remember where the file goes. Then, simply drag your stereo .wav into your CD burning software. Voila!

The easiest way - is to use the 'add and remove programs' feature in Windows. In Windows 10 - go to Control Panel > Programs & Features. This will list all programs on the computer. Select the one you want and click uninstall. You may have to re-boot your computer after it's finished uninstalling to remove any residual files.

What software do you want to use to start your home studio fruity loops or pro tools LE?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Definitely Pro Tools. Its much more the industry standard and if your market is to do home recordings of bands, it will be much easier for those that wish to have their projects mixed by a 3rd party. (Better chance that the person mixing will have a pro tools system than having fruity loops).
