You can go to her Web site (please see Related Links below).
At the very bottom of that page, you will see the word Contact. You can click on that, and it will open up to a new page. You can ask her questions, and she might even have her email on there. But I may be wrong. Hope this helps :)
She has won many awards, but possibly the most prestigious was the 2003 Batchelder Award for The Thief Lord
Inkheart an enchanting fantasy tale about a girl called Meggie. Meggie is a girl the age of twelve who lives in Italy with her father, Mortimer, but Meggie has always called him Mo. Mo is a bookbinder who loves books and so does Meggie, although unlike most fathers he has never read out loud to her since her mother "left".When Meggie can't sleep she lays down with a book and reads by candlelight, even though Mo has told her many times not to, when she is sad she reads, and when she has nightmares she runs to mo's room and reads, nothing allows her to fall asleep better than a book and the sound of Mo's soft breathing. At night she falls asleep with a book under her pillow and swears that sometimes she can hear it whispering to her. Mo has always told Meggie the truth about everything or so Meggie thinks.
It is explained in some copies, either as a foreward or as part of the 'About the Author' piece at the end however many copies aren't printed with it. Cornelia Funke has, like many other readers, always imagined being a part of the stories she was reading or having the characters as part of her own life. What she hadn't considered was the actual repercussions, what would really happen if someone just 'dropped' into a story. Would you be ready to handle the hygiene conditions of Arthurian England, for example?
With the "actual reality" of this fantasy came the idea for Inkheart. Cornelia Funke was already a published author and wrote the novel in German (it was later translated to English) but she found herself wondering at the character's fates, but one book (Inkspell) wasn't enough to finish the story so she wrote another (Inkdeath) and thus the Inkworld Trilogy was born.
Yes, she is currently residing in Germany and has two children. She was born in 1958 and has yet to meet her demise; she is a very talented and is one of my favourite writers!

You can touch a very unique and useful topic, I.e. How grapevine, word of mouth, peer referral, viral communication supplement in communicating the messages delivered on news papers, or TV channels. How many people got message by one newspaper? Why do news people multiply by 2 or 3 while calculating their reader ship or viewer ship? What happen when there are as many media (newspaper or TV channels) present in your domain, does it support the new quality or is it negative. How are news and reports used by other business people who have the stake in that news?
