If you have a contention that going to Hajj is pointless then I would have a contention with proof that your life is meaningless and in vain. Hajj is one of the pillars of Islaam and it has been commanded by Allaah in His Book - Qur'an that whoever dies without visiting Kaabatullaa once in his lifetime then he has died the death of ignorance and infidelity. One should go to Hajj once in the lifetime. Pilgrimage to Hajj reminds us the day of Qayaamat.

It may be pointless to go to Hajj if a person is not a Muslim by faith. As for as the Muslims are concerned, Hajj is obligatory on all Muslim men and women once in their life if they can afford physically and financially.
