It's very long and curves round in a wide, gentle arc- the surf is gentle and the sand very clean. At least two good beachfront cafes and restaurants exist there, as well as toilet facilities, changing rooms for bathers, and showers for rinsing off sand.
It's only drawback is that there is little in the way of seafloor life for snorklers and Scuba-divers to enjoy. Fish tend to keep away from the area and there's not much in the way of shells or weed either; if you snorkle there and look down, the main things you'll see are just stones and pebbles in the sand, although some of these are very pretty.

If you're looking for a mix of great beaches, happening clubs, loud bars and bargain drinks prices, think North Cyprus! At night, the Escape Beach Club and Acapulco beach turn into open-air clubs, so you can sunbathe all day and rave all night on virtually the same spot of golden sandy beach! Head for the bars around the harbour at Kyrenia for good fun without overpriced menus or sour-faced bouncers. Some of the best sea turtle nesting beaches are on North Cyprus! In May, the female turtles lay their eggs in the sand, and two months later, their tiny hatchlings make a dash for the sea. See my next Links answer for a good article on turtle-watching in North Cyprus. The best way to see turtles is to join the Society for the Protection of Turtles (SPOT) at Alagadi Turtle Beach, where you can watch the turtles and support their conservation at the same time.
