great britain...
there is only 4 sections, they are, England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland Great Britain is not a country in its own right; it consists of three nations - England, Scotland and Wales. The UK, however, is a country and it consists of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
None - England is a discrete part of the United Kingdom (UK) and part of Great Britain. The other countries in Great Britain are Scotland and Wales. "Country's" should be spelt "countries"!
"England isn't a country. We sided with Great Britain." Wrong again. Great Britain is not a country either. The country at the time which allied with the US, was the UK; united kingdom of Great Britain and [at the time not northern] Ireland. It is like saying "mainland america", it is a geographical term, more commonly mistaken for "the island of Britain", Great Britain being the outlying islands. Only Americans call it Great Britain. NO ONE in the UK calls it Great Britain apart from an atlas which includes all the islands around it.
The mother country of the thirteen original colonies was Great Britain.
That is the United States. Norway has missed winning a gold medal in only one Winter Olympics (1988).
