South Korea trades in the free market, it's economy is booming. Its industrial development includes manufacturing consumer electronics for the US and Europe. North Korea has a poor economy. Heavy industry has failed to provide economic stability, and agriculture under its socialist dictatorial government has failed to supply enough food for its people.

North Korea or Democratic People's Republic of Korea has a socialist government that follows both Songun and Juche ideologies. On the other hand, South Korea is named Republic of Korea or Korea for short and has a constitutional democratic government.
