Although dogs are direct descendants of wolves, dogs have been domesticated since 1100 B.C. In cave paintings from Neanderthal days, wolf-like creatures are depicted running alongside the hunters and helping them. In the Medieval Ages (1300 to 1600 A.D.), dogs were a vital part of hunting, and many lords and ladies enjoyed having dogs as companions. Wolves are basically undomesticated dogs. They are completely wild, and they hunt for themselves. They live in packs and are anything but tame. They take care of themselves and fight off offending wolves. If you ever see a wolf in the wild, avert your eyes and back away slowly, watching the wolf out of the corner of your eye.
Although many breeds, such as the Chihuahua and Yorkshire terrier, don't resemble the wolf in the least, this has to do with genetics, DNA, and selective breeding. Huskies look a lot like wolves, and this is often on purpose. Breeding has everything to do with your dog and how she looks.
Wolves are kind of like people. They will look like their parents, and every living thing has DNA.

Wolves have a variety of calls and signals. Each means a different thing. For example, wolves howl, bark, and do most of the things your average dog would do.
We have made them enemies. Wolves are no different then any other predtor. Only difference is the worlds view of them. Wolves are not mindless killing machines. We are responsible for tarnishing the wolf's reputation.
well people say they are grey wolves just in a different colour
There are gray wolves, red wolves, and white wolves(To my knowledge). There might be more colors though.

because, if the arctic wolves had pup's the same time as the other wolves then the pup's would not live. because for one, they'd freeze, for another, they would not have enough food to go around. just like the amount of wolves. they have few pup's when there's scarce food, and lots when the food is plenty-full.
Wolves have four legs and bees have six.
There are many differences between a wolf and a dog. Wolves are not dogs. Dogs are bred from wolves and have most of their wolf-like characteristics bred out of them. The osteology is different, the size and shape, fur type, psychology and behavior, etc etc... See the Related Links for more information about the differences between wolves and dogs.
Wolves are a very tight family unit. You have a alpha and then the rest are omegas. It's not that much different from our families. You even have the occasional fight.
