How big is a cricket's brain?
In researching information on keeping a cricket as a pet, most online guides state that a cricket's brain is not very large in relation to its body mass. This statement is usually followed by the fact that they need a sponge or very shallow water to drink from, as their brains are "so small" that they will drown themselves attempting to drink from deeper standing water. (Not a very scientific answer I realize, but I figured this answer would be a good place holder in the meantime).

Crickets kept in captivity as a food sources for other reptiles can survive on a variety of simple food options. Raw cut potatoes offer both food and water to keep your cricke…ts alive and healthy. There are also many products you can buy at your local pet store that offer both food and water for your crickets. If you choose a dry variety of cricket food, your crickets will still need a water source. Offering a wet sponge in their habitat is the safest choice without risking loss due to drowning.

yes crickets can drown. they can not swim.
Evolution tends to provide animals with all the brain they need. Those which eat plants tend to have small brains because not that much brainpower is needed to capture a plant…. Predators tend to have proportionately larger brains because hunting animals is more complex activity. Stegosaurus had a brain about the size of a walnut, while Tyrannosaurus' brian was actually bigger than a human's (though much of it was devoted to analyzing odors, not composing poems or working math problems).
about the size of a pea.
An ant's brain is nearly a quarter of its body weight. The average ant brain has 250,000 neurons, meaning the average ant colony of 40,000 ants has the brain mass of one h…uman.
All things are relative. Compared to an earthworm, turtles have big brains. Compared to a dog, turtles have small brains.
Generally I believe so! However, this is not always the case and even then sometimes a smaller brain can have a higher IQ than a larger one.
not necessarily usually your brain is the size of both fists pressed together
Crickets are omnivorous, feeding on a variety of small insects and vegetation mostly at night.
