In this situation your options are a bit more limited, you could either request your only provider upgrades your connection to a higher speed connection or ask them to make it available. otherwise, you could request a different internet provider to start offering their services in your area if possible. Finally, if all else fails and having a higher internet speed is absolutely required in your life, when you plan on moving make sure that your new housing has internet providers that offer higher internet speeds that satisfy your needs.
Alternative Option
You can get a second internet connection from the same, or another, provider and combine them. It will not give a faster connection for any single user but it will give you a wider more robust connection that can handle more traffic while minimizing speed reduction as a result of congestion.
You will have to replace your router with a dual port router. They are more expensive than a standard router. The dual port router combines both internet connections (from your cable/dsl/fios modems) transparently into your network. It can perform load balancing to insure that both internet connections are used efficiently and to minimize congestion on a single internet connection. Most major router manufacturers carry such routers and they can also include wifi capability.
