It's true that you are the Pokemon. However, you still catch pokemons to add to your rescue team. So far i have only found one place to buy pokeballs. It's at South Isles. You can find an Abra in the top far right corner of the Square where you live, he will teleport you there. Then near the end of the island, there is a Pokemon (the same Pokemon they use to sell you stuff through the whole game, i cant remember the name. He's a purple lizard) You can buy Great, and Net pokeballs from him.

∙ 14y agoYou evolve them by leveling up the pokemon. But the three main pokemone (Pikachu, Chikorita and Torchic) don't evolve. Rose, Eevee, evolves into Espeon by herself.
