I came across this problem. There is a lock below the steering wheel that will cause the trunk lever to disengage when it is pushed in. Use the master key to turn the lock (located below the steering wheel). It must be the master key. Without the master key you will need to remove the lock (located below the steering wheel). Good luck.

Sounds like a job for a locksmith

use the manual or ask lexus cherio
Lexus has to hook their computer to it to program the key to both lock/unlock and to start the vehicle.
instruction manual
See the dealer or you'll have him see you as you are locked out with the antitheft going off. Question why do I have to see a dealer? I have the master key, found instructions on the Internet for a 2004 to delete existing keys except master, than how to reprogram smart keys and valet key. Not sure if the same programming instructions work for a 2005? (I have been able to program all of my other smart keys fo other "dealer only" monogramming .
there is an small key inside the key less remote that comes out, use that to get in.
red wire
Try clicking twice on the remote or key, usually the first time only opens the drivers door, the second click opens remaining doors.
The new Chevy Volt has a remote starter, as do the newest models of Subaru, Lexus, and Acura cars. It is also possible to have a remote starter installed into the car of your choice, even if it does not come with the factory option.
Yes, but at the stealership which will cost big bucks.
