you need to beat the Pokemon league first. after you beat the league you need to go to the three lakes. mesprit in lake verity, azelf in lake acuity and uxie in lake valor. before you catch mesprit you need the map marker you get in jublife city in your poketch. when you have it go to mesprit in lake verity talk to him. after you talk to him he runs away. he will appear in the map marker. follow him when you get to him he will be in long grass. i suggest no flying. if you keep flying to him he always moves. run to him instead. by the way the three lake Pokemon are in the caves in the middle of the lakes.
A tip for Azelf and Uxie: It's best to use the Dusk Balls, because they are the best at night and caves, even better than the Ultra Balls.
