First, find the biggest pieces of cardboard that you can. Preferably from boxes a new refrigerator or new well tank came in. You will need at least 4 of these. Use one, folded to full length by about 30" wide, as bottom and the other 3 for placing around the side. Glue it with silicone, use Duct Tape to seal seams. Should be good for about an hour in water. If you can, or are allowed, encase the entire sides and bottom in garbage bags or sheet of painters polythene.
