That is simple, you don't. Only get your tongue pierced, or anything else pierced by a professional.
You have veins in your tongue, and if you puncture them you could bleed to death.
AnswerDon't do it...if you do it incorrectly you could bleed to death like that person above me said or your tongue can split and then you won't be able to talk...at least that's what I heard from my friend who has her tongue pierced.Answer:
You cannot bleed to death from a tongue piercing, unless of course you let your tonge drip blood for five days or so. You also cannot bifurcate your tongue by piercing it. You can however contaminate your tools from improper procedures and end up with a sever infection that could travel into the brain (as has happened to TWO people ever). Other risks include nerve damage and bleeding, but they are not as likely or dangerous as the infection. Just go to a professional.
ANOTHER ANSWER:Well, I'd say you probably wouldn't bleed to death... but it could be some serious bleeding and problems if you do it wrong. I've given people tips on self piercing before, though I think you should go to a professional, or at least an apprentice or someone with training... but I'm not going to tell you how to pierce your own tongue. Some piercings, I think, are ok to self pierce (if done properly with proper equipment... meaning NO SAFETY PINS, ETC!!) but I think a tongue piercing should be done by someone with much more knowledge of piercings than yourself or one of your friends.well i have mine sne and anit nothin rong wit it....omg i did my belly bii miself n mii ears
ANOTHER ANSWER:
actually i pierced my tongue myself, and it did nothing i have had it pierced now for four years, but you CAN bleed to death and paralyze half your face i do all my piercings myself!!!
you don't pierce it yourself you go to a reputable piercer and have them do it.
The reasons you should not attempt to pierce your self should be obvious, but for those who think it's a "DIY" project, here's some food for thought.
Infection and contraction of MRSA, HIV, Meningitis, Hepatitis and Tetanus are all very serious health issues, MRSA is an antibiotic resistant bacteria that can in most cases land the unlucky individual in the hospital (and has been responsible for serious deformities and deaths). These infections has been caused by using unsterilized equipment and materials. Sterilization is not achieved by pouring alcohol over needles and jewellery, or burning these items over a fire or exposed flame. Microorganisms live in the fine fissures and cracks in needles and jewellery and only the high temperature and pressure of a steam Autoclave can render these and many other bacteria harmless.
The above reasons alone should be enough to sway anyone from thinking they can do it themselves. Professional body piercers have years for hands on training and education to enable them to make any piercing "look simple", when in fact they are considering dozens of things when they lay out a piercing and actually do it. So consider your lack of knowledge, training and skills before you attempt to do any self piercing, once you pierce it, it's damaged tissue. This makes it even more difficult for a professional piercer to leave you with a great looking piercing when the area we have to work with is damaged by self inflicted attempts.
ANOTHER ANSWER:Professionally.I had my friend do all my piercings , except my tongue .
Get it done by a professional!
You sure can! Yesterday I got two adjacent piercings in my tongue. (Side-by-side, not front-to back.) Apparently I have lots of blood vessels in my tongues, so each piercing was done at a different angle. The entry points on top of my tongue are symmetrical, but because of the pattern of blood vessels on the underside of my tongue, the exit points look crooked and uneven. However no one sees the underside anyway! It's the top that is aesthetically pleasing. An experienced piercer should be able to pierce your veiny tongue! :P
Your veins. Do not try to pierce your own tongue. This is a very dangerous percing and cannot be done on everyone. My sister went to get her tongue professionally done and she was informed that she could not have it done because of the location of veins in her mouth. Only a professional body piercer would be able to tell you this personalized infromation. Also, there is a high risk of infection, and these can be extremely dangerous. Trust me, my friend did hers, no, dont do it yourself, she was put in the hospital. get it done profecinally -sp?- A friend of mine wanted to get her tongue pierced but the piercer said she didn't recommend it on her. Her tongue web was too close to the tip, meaning her piercing would've to be done very near the tip, and this would give her a lisp. ___________- I would like to add that while you cannot bleed to death you can damage veins and nerves to the point where your tongue will go numb. I would estimate that 90% of people would have no trouble with having it done (professionally), but you may be one of that 10% and need to see a professional in order to know. Also, the glands in your tongue and mouth are very sensitive and necessary, when you attempt these things on your own you risk damaging them (even just a pin prick) and causing your body permanent damage, shock is also a factor because of the pain of the procedure.
There are two ways to take this question. The first is you asking where on the tongue it can be pierced, to which the answer is simple. It CAN be pierced anywhere on the tongue. Obviously, certain areas will be more prone to cause speech impediments. The next way is of you asking where to get it done (i.e. shop/studio, mall, etc.). Again, a simple answer, the best place to have it done is at a reputable studio. No place except a studio will pierce a tongue and if they do it's grounds for a lawsuit.
Because both are carrying blood without oxygen.
Veins return blood to the heart. The pulmonary veins.
At a professional piercing and/or tattoo parlor. Or done by a medical professional, though I don't know if they tend to pierce tongues often, though I know they do ears.
Go consult a piercer. It's best to go to one with lots of experience with tongue piercings and good reviews. They can take a look at y our tongue and tell you if a tongue piercing would be suitable.
When you look underneath your tongue, you can see purple veins. So yes, there are veins in the tongue.
yes it is ok. the veins are there on every bodies tongue. so it is ok.
The veins under the tongue often look really dark in color. The reason for this is because the skin under the tongue is very thin.
It is called the arterial vein, and should not be punctured. Never ever pierce yourself, especially your tongue. You run the risk of irritation, infection, migration, rejection and even Hepatitis if you are not careful.
no
As long as everything is sterile, and you relax your tongue and don't move it when they pierce it.By a good, safe, professional piercer? Yes. Otherwise - No. Some people's tongues may not be suitable (based on how their veins go, etc.) or the person him/herself might not be a good candidate (like if the person is a hemophiliac!) and a good piercer would refuse to pierce such a tongue/person.
Yes you can unfortunately their are veins in the tongue and if the piercing is not done properly it can "nick" one of these veins and you could die.
Everyone has veins in their tongue. You'll have to check with your piercer to see if a tongue piercing is possible. Center tongue piercings are usually an option for a majority of people but venoms or off-center piercings can be tricky.
with a hole puncher ^OMG YOU IDIOT!!!! never peirce your tongue by your self let alone with a hole puncher. you run a large risk of hitting the 10, 20 veins in your tongue which can make you bleed internally an eventually di8e with in minutes i got mine done a year ago an it looks cool but im always hitting my teeth when i eat an have had to get my teeth fixed cause there all chipped
Self-Piercing or Go to a Pro?You should wait and get it done by a pro. There are several veins that run underneath your tongue and if you hit one of them, you will bleed alot. Due To The Problems Of Infection, Best To Have A Very Knowledge Proffesional Do This
