To be quite honest, you don't want to.
The firewall protects your PC. If something isn't working because of it, learn how to make it work rather than just turning the firewall off.
If you insist on leaving it off, then you should put up with the "irritating" warning message - it's like driving a car with the door open - the dashboard is going to beep at you constantly as a reminder that you're doing something stupid.
People like you are the reason viruses are spreading so easily. Don't be fooled into thinking that pathetic little antivirus program you have is protecting your PC 100% - you need three different tools - firewall, antivirus, and preferably an antispyware program such as Windows Defender too.
If you are using a third-party firewall such as ZoneAlarm, this will install itself and tell Windows that it is doing the job and that the Windows Firewall is not needed. If your third party firewall doesnt do this, ditch it and use either Windows Firewall (which is perfectly adequate, to be honest) or the free version of ZoneAlarm (which is even better).
