Hello,
The 2nd gen iPod is not designed to handle to update any software. Hardware cannot support the newest software forever or run on it.
Yes, no iPod past 3rd g will update
Update to most recent version of itunes.
no only on the ipod touch 5th gen
No you can not ring off a ipod touch 2nd gen
There are certain games that you cant get on the ipod 1st generation also you you cant update ipod 1st gen with the new softwares but with the 3rd gen you can carry on updating it.
a 2nd gen digitizer will not work for a 3rd gen
i doubt it the second gen cost about 60 dollars more. What i would do is sell ur first gen and then buy a second gen
If it doesn't already come with it then go to iTunes and when your iPod comes up click "Check for Update" Then the proper update will download and install. If you already have iOS 5 and you want iOS 5.0.1 Then you can update directly from your iPod by going to Settings>General>Software Update to auto check for update.
The iPod touch 2nd gen is the newest one. It is thinner, and It has the app store. I believe it also has higher storage options.
no the highest a first generation can go is 3.3.1
if you mean ipod touch, and its a 4th gen ipod touch or 32gb or 64gb ipod touch 3g, then download the latest itunes, plug it in, and hit update in itunes
No currently there is no jailbreak available for the ipod touch 2nd gen
